Free beginner chess workshop with San Diego Chess Academy

Our first free workshop for girls ages 5 to 12 at San Diego Chess Academy, coached by Iniya. No experience needed.

Chess4Girls and San Diego Chess Academy teamed up for a free, beginner-friendly workshop for girls ages 5 to 12. Iniya Mathivanan, Chess4Girls founder and a 1700+ rated USCF player, led the hour: how the pieces move, how to capture, and a first game.

Thank you to San Diego Chess Academy for hosting us in their Sorrento Valley classroom. The next session is on Saturday, October 24.
